Actually, green tapes are being used for all military entities of Ukraine, instead of blue and yellow (though some Ukrainian units on the front continue to use blue and/or yellow, but this is just due to the inertia and maybe absence of green tapes atm). So, green is a legitimate color for the Ukrainian armed forces, territorial defense etc. Russian invaders use white and red tapes, as before.... | ||

Totally a matter of taste! When I read crime novels (or any other kind of novel!) set in other countries I like the cognate titles (so Commissioner Maigret, Brigadier Le Blanc) because it imparts the flavour of the place. Actually, speaking of translation of Quebec titles in the English Canadian press, I'd prefer the same, so that e.g. the head of the SPVM is called Director, not Chief. As I say, a matter of taste.... | ||
